ABOUT RSS

RSS feeds bring automatically updated information straight to your desktop. They provide an easy way for you to monitor those web site that intrest you be it news, blogs, job listings or clasified ads. More and more sites offer feeds, which you can identify by a small button that says either RSS or XML. However, if you click one of these links, you will most likely get a page full of code in your browser. To properly read the feed, you need an RSS reader or a browser which has it built in.

In addtion to stand alone readers there are a number of web browsers available that incorporated RSS reading as standard functionality. They can detect if a web site has a RSS feed and automatically make it availble to the user.
