FuturePlus launches first client iPad editions
The two new iPad products, which have been developed on behalf of long-standing FuturePlus clients Oxford University and Design Objectives, are designed to deliver a new way to experience the brands, allowing readers to access content on iPad as well as in print.
FuturePlus has been working in partnership to produce Oxford University’s alumni magazine Oxford Today since last year. The new iPad edition of the magazine extends that relationship and makes Oxford the first UK University – and one of only a few globally – to publish its magazine on the iPad tablet.
Anne Brunner-Ellis, Head of the Publications and Web Office within Oxford University’s Public Affairs Directorate, says: “A high proportion of readers of Oxford Today are leading consumers of digital media and a recent survey revealed a strong appetite for reading our alumni magazine on an iPad. FuturePlus understands the needs of our consumers and we’re very satisfied with their high quality Oxford Today app, which enables us to engage with our audience on yet another level.”
FuturePlus continues to invest in its digital resources, leading the way in customer publishing, adding value and versatility to client briefs and delivering must-read content into the hands of their consumers in print and digital.
The second app, for Design Objectives’ docraft Creativity magazine, is a 24-page sampler of the monthly magazine which provides inspiration and exciting content with beautiful photography. A first for the magazine, the app will help to promote the brand online via the Design Objectives website and will also be available as a free sampler on the iTunes app store.
Jayne Caple, Managing Director of FuturePlus, says: “We drew on the expertise of our digital team to produce these bespoke apps for Oxford University and Design Objectives. Digital communication is now essential to successful campaigns and we pride ourselves on being able to provide creative digital solutions such as these apps.
“We always strive to provide the best possible service. We can offer complete packages covering everything from print magazines to video, apps to mobile content and tailor-make solutions to meet each client’s needs.”
